Hand Stitched Boro Scarf No.2
$175.00
Fully hand stitched boro scarf, comprised of mostly vintage Japanese fabrics, including indigo dyed ‘muji momen’ or ‘plain cotton’, kasuri, which is a fabric that has been woven with fibers dyed specifically to create patterns and images in the fabric. It is an ikat (resist-dyeing) technique, and the resultant patterns are characterized by a blurred or brushed appearance. The new fabric employed in this scarf is a lovely summery weight cotton that compliments boro, making it into more of a modern interpretation of such. Beautiful. 68” long x 13.5” wide. This scarf, as all others posted in my shop, is unisex.
