Like grandmother's pearls - cone no. 2
Like grandmother's pearls - cone no. 2
You know when you’re in flow with the universe, when your creative wheels are spinning in such a way that it feels effortless; when you are one with your higher source, and the outcome of this mystical dance is a gift even to you? This is how I felt whilst making this necklace. Actually, I made two of these lovelies, each of them taking several days from start to finish, and when the twain was done, all I could feel was the gratitude that comes with the awareness one has when one is in unison with one’s universe.
Hand forged and enameled steel, sterling silver handmade chain. Fully kinetic, the pendant lives wild and free on its little hook, and likewise the hook to its ring.
About this piece: This lovely is made of steel. Her external shell is enamel. Please understand that enamel is glass, and just as a wine glass would shatter if you hurled it to the floor, likely will this piece if you treat her badly. So don’t treat her badly. While not nearly as fragile as a wine glass, it warrants understanding the elements of her composition. Wear her like you would your grandmother’s inherited string of pearls. You wouldn’t wear them in the shower, the hot tub, the swimming pool nor in a thunderstorm, so neither should you wear this piece under those conditions. Love her madly, and she will offer a lifetime of willing service to you.
Thank you universe, for allowing me this creative spirit which allows me to make things that I may share with another.
