Well, well well. It was only a matter of time before this happened. My studio is a hot mess right now as I orchestrate more of these beauties (along with a few other new things, smile face). So many little pieces of fabric painstakingly arranged to arrive at something that looks so effortless (newsflash: boro is hard work if you don’t want it to end up looking like simple patchwork). This boro beauty is made of a combination of (mostly) vintage Japanese textiles, a couple of swathes with original boro stitching, and organic linen that I’ve dyed in my indigo vat. As a matter of fact, the back is all made of hand dyed organic linen. Tons of hand stitching throughout, and her envelope back is just as fabu as her front. 12”x21”, on the plump side, filled with feather and down. Thank you for visiting my shop.
