I love table adornments. There is something so warm about stitched pieces on wood. I swap out these table centers in my home often. They might land on a side table, as the centerpiece of my dining room table, or even on my art table when I’m drawing so that I may have something beautiful to look at and to lay my tools on while I play. This lovely here is completely hand stitched in the style of boro. It began with a slip of vintage Japanese indigo dyed fabric with a lovely hole and several worn spots. I repaired these areas with a mosaic of vintage Japanese fabric and organic natural linen that I’ve rust dye. Together, we arrive at a harmony of new and old. All hand stitched.
