These are two of my favorite linens and together they sing. A sort of sulphur gold comprises the bulk of the style scarf, and red stripes float on a background of the most earthy linen the color of pale, autumn straw it’s practically field to scarf. I hand-stitched the seam allowances that join the two linens together, and I kept things simple with just a brief bit of stitching. I can get carried away with my hand work, so this time I gathered up all of my powers of restraint, and I arrived at this lovely piece, simple and elegant.
