Mercury is my ruling planet. A big ball of iron with a hair thin crust. It is the planet closest to the sun, and it is the slowest revolving planet in our solar system. On the metaphysical side, everyone dreads Mercury retrograde, but as a child of this planet, I love her in all her temperaments. Mercury direct-her forward motion-is what everyone wishes for. But her retrograde also brings its merits, it is a time of reflection, tying up loose ends, regaining strength after a long haul of hard work, allowing us the value of introspection. Mercury retrograde teaches us to be adaptable in all phases of our lives. Constant parties can be exhausting, and being around so many people, always ‘on’, can drain even the most faithful extorvert. These moments of retrograde bring about much needed contemplation, which is the truest pathway that leads us back to a state of grace, and being one with the Universe is better than any party, in my book.

Maybe you should consider that your pinkie finger doesn’t actually want to be naked all the time. I will be making more of these in larger sizes because we could all use a little mercury retrograde in our lives, even if we don’t realize it.
